I often work with those experiencing trauma, shame, repressed emotions, and relational conflict. I enjoy facilitating with clients with practical approaches, a non-judgmental ear, precise language and nonverbal communication. Processing trauma cannot be done only through talk therapy, so I will help you feel/experience/process deep emotions in the body, too. Having a safe place to reflect on your relationship with yourself and others can lead to more awareness, skills, and peace in your life. My experience working with children from hard places and their adoptive families powerfully expanded my understanding/skills - including understanding trauma responses, feeling layered experiences, cultivating attachment, rebuilding trust, practicing communication, reading subtle nonverbals, modeling emotional regulation, and processing reactivity. Therapy can be both wonderful and difficult. Additional hope, clarity, and relief may await you on this journey of growth.
