Ursula approaches her work from a strengths-based perspective that hopes to build resilience for clients to access their own strength and empower them in their lives and healing. Ursula views diagnoses as a collection of symptoms and not an identity; with this lens she takes the time to fully understand each client, who they are, where they come from, and what they view as the difficulties in their lives. The therapeutic relationship is at the core of all of Ursula’s work. Working with Ursula is a collaborative experience that empowers clients to identify their own goals in treatment and provides options for how to work towards those goals. Ursula has training in EMDR, IFS, CBT, MI, Attachment Based Family Therapy, and Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk While Ursula is fluent in Spanish she is not a native Spanish speaker; beyond her degree in Spanish she has traveled Central and South America, participates in trainings in Spanish, and has worked in Spanish with clients from all over Latin America matching the different dialects utilized.
