Hi! I'm Vanessa. I have supported adolescents and young adults for over a decade. My journey began when my interest in people and their stories led me to the University of Northern Colorado. There, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in English Education and a Minor in Special Education. After graduation, I spent the next five years working as a middle school Language Arts teacher and an employment coach for neurodiverse adolescents and young adults. Through my experiences as a teacher and employment coach, I discovered my true passion for supporting individuals with their social, emotional, and mental well-being. I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health from Colorado Christian University. My teaching and coaching career provides a strong foundation for my counseling approach. I utilize knowledge of the school system, skilled collaboration with parents, and incorporate engaging hands-on activities and psychoeducational tools in sessions with teens. In addition to specializing in teen therapy, I also have expertise in supporting adults with relationships and life transitions.
