I’m so glad you’re here. My hope is to support you while you identify your goals, deepen your understanding of your values, and take your power back from the problems that try to get in your way. While I integrate several therapeutic modalities into my practice, my experience with Narrative Therapy significantly informs how I position myself as a therapist. This compassionate and relational approach will allow us to understand how your mental health, relationships and daily life are impacted by the systems you find yourself in. Narrative Therapy was built on the belief: “The person is not the problem, the problem is the problem.” I believe it is possible to unlearn the painful, inaccurate, and problem-saturated stories you’ve internalized about yourself that are keeping you stuck. I am also excited to offer specialized treatment options for those affected by PTSD and complex trauma. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an exposure based intervention aimed at reducing emotional distress associated with traumatic memories. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured approach that teaches you how to evaluate and stand against unhelpful beliefs that often develop following traumatic events. While staying close to my own values of curiosity, respect and empathy, I aim to create accessible, non-pathologizing and culturally responsive spaces for my clients of all races, cultures, sexualities, genders, sizes, and abilities.
