Introduction

Healing happens in connection—with ourselves, others, and the deeper parts of our story. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. In therapy, I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can explore not just the symptoms but the root causes of pain, honoring your experiences with curiosity and care. I’m a Northern Virginia native but ventured to the Midwest for school, earning both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus on clinical mental health. Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including Residential Treatment Centers, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs, Community Mental Health, and private outpatient care. I specialize in Trauma and Eating Disorders, helping individuals and families heal their relationship with their body and mind. My approach is deeply trauma-informed, recognizing that struggles are often adaptations to past wounds. I emphasize the mind-body connection and how early experiences shape our present. I also integrate a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective, ensuring that all bodies are honored and supported in the healing process. I am committed to using evidence-based approaches while tailoring therapy to each person’s unique journey. My primary modalities include Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), and I am currently pursuing certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I have advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Therapy is about more than just managing symptoms—it’s about reconnecting with yourself and building a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. Taking the step to seek support is an act of strength, and you don’t have to do it alone. Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my family, dog, and horse, reading a good book, or knitting something cozy. I believe in the power of small, joyful moments and the deep connections that make healing possible.
