Although it sure can feel this way, rather than viewing OCD or anxiety as a monster trying to torture us, I see it as a hypervigilant alert system whose aim is to keep us safe at all costs. Retraining that alert system can help us get unstuck, heal, and thrive. I never claim to have the answers for anyone’s life, but I love helping people find answers within themselves. I view our connection and trust as the foundation in therapy. The main therapeutic approaches I draw from are Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. All with mindfulness, compassion, and consent. All tears are welcome, and we might even laugh together sometimes :). I’m here because I want to be.
