Will graduated from the University of Utah with his bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy and is currently finishing his master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah. Will has experience working with clients from adolescents to older adults in a variety of treatment settings. He has worked in wilderness therapy, residential treatment, acute psychiatric, outpatient therapy, and long-term care. He has worked with clients experiencing, anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-acceptance. He has spent most of his career working in substance use and process addiction treatment. Will uses a variety of modalities to meet client needs such as CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method, and is well versed in 12 Step recovery programs and alternative recovery communities. Will takes a relational approach to treatment and feels strongly that the therapeutic alliance is critical to care. He believes that through connection and safety a client can step into their own power and find new perspective on life. In his free time, you can find Will spending time with his family, working in his woodworking shop, or listening to music.
