You are not broken, you are unhealed. Hola and Welcome! My name is Iliamari Vazquez Houston and I am a Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona. My group practice, With An Open Heart LLC, has clinicians that are taking new clients and have immediate availability for sessions. Our focus is to provide a safe, nonjudgemental space for you and incorporate a holistic approach for healing. In this space, we will prioritize what you need and build towards processing trauma. We use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy techniques to help process past trauma(s). We also incorporate other techniques such as Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Talk Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Strength Based, Person Centered, Mindfulness and Grounding, and Walk and Talk Therapy. From the very first session we start building rapport, discuss your goals, to what modalities we could use, and how it can help heal. This is your journey, not ours. We meet you where you are at, you are the guide and we are your support. We have expertise in; maternal mental health, family issues, boundaries work, anxiety, stress, grief/loss, life transitions, intergenerational cycles and trauma, communication challenges, relationships challenges, and boundaries work. We have all worked in a variety of settings with diverse communities. Our experience allows you to feel heard and validated in order to make healthy improvements. It's about progress over perfection. We look forward to working with you through your therapeutic journey. EMDR Intensives with Iliamari - When processing trauma via EMDR, sometimes a 50-55 minute session might not be enough. This can be due to the typical check in at the beginning, working through other issues that have come up since the last session, and then trying to process in the time that is left; it can feel rushed. If you feel you could benefit from a longer EMDR session, we can discuss if an EMDR intensive session (2+ hours) is appropriate. We would develop a plan together on how to work towards EMDR intensives. EMDR intensives can help clear out trauma in a quicker manner with less sessions overall. Clinical Immigration Evaluations - Iliamari Iliamari provides clinical mental health evaluations to support with the application process. Ask about working together. Clinical Supervision - Iliamari Iliamari love supporting new social workers in the field. Iliamari wants to support new incoming social workers in the field to expand their knowledge and skills in a setting that allows BIPOC authenticity. Iliamari can provide supervision to complete hours towards independent license.
