Hello, I am Xochitl (So-cheel), and I am so glad you are here. Reaching out for support is a meaningful step, and a reminder that you do not have to face life’s challenges alone. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you, your teen, or your child can truly feel understood, supported, and valued. As a bilingual (English-Spanish) and bicultural therapist, I warmly welcome all people from diverse backgrounds. I understand how culture and language shape our experiences, and I am here to support you in a way that honors your unique identity and story. Many of the individuals and families I work with are going through difficult times. You might be facing ongoing challenges such as chronic stress from life demands, anxiety about the future, major life transitions like a divorce or career change, unresolved trauma from past experiences, or the deep pain of grief after losing a loved one. You may also feel the constant pressure to keep everything running smoothly on the outside even when you are feeling emotionally exhausted or disconnected on the inside. Similarly, your teen or child could be having a hard time coping with overwhelming emotions like anger, sadness, or anxiety. They might be falling behind in school due to learning difficulties or ADHD, or feeling isolated because of challenges making or keeping friends. Difficult experiences can feel isolating but you are not alone. As a therapist, I would be honored to support you. My personal journey through major life transitions and loss has shaped me into a more compassionate and empathetic therapist. Alongside my personal experience, I bring 14 years of previous experience in education as a teacher, school counselor, and school-based therapist, which allows me to guide families through school related challenges and special programs and accommodations for their children. As a former professional dancer, I bring a deep understanding of creative expression and mind-body connection to my therapeutic approach, using body awareness and creativity as tools for self-discovery, emotional regulation, and healing. With me as your therapist, you can expect a warm, person-centered approach where your unique story, strengths, and needs shape our work together. I draw from techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, SandTray Therapy, and Play Therapy, always meeting you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. This is your space, a space to slow down, find inner peace, and explore healing and growth at your own pace. Reach out to schedule a free consultation if you are ready to start your journey!
