Introduction

Hello, I am Zoya Thompson, a licensed professional counselor in Texas and the founder of Clear Serenity. A major focus of my work has been supporting those who have experienced trauma to help them on their journey of healing by developing healthy coping skills, reducing trauma symptoms, and allowing them to tell their story. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to experience a safe space to process and experience joy. I am passionate about serving underserved communities and working to decrease the stigma around mental health. EXPERIENCE For four years, I have primarily worked with trauma survivors and those caring for trauma survivors to amplify hope and provide a safe environment for change to occur. I have supported clients in both a non-profit, university, and private practice setting. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology (2022) from Southwestern Adventist University. I have received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), CBT, and play therapy. MY WHY I believe that life is a journey filled with highs and lows, my passion is to create a safe environment where individuals feel supported while healing. My goal is for Clear Serenity to be that safe harbor. There is so much strength in reaching out for help and prioritizing your mental health!
