I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-Associate) in the State of Texas, under the supervision of Jennifer Smith, LPC Supervisor. I have had a heart for walking through life with others for as long as I can remember. I understand the value in relationships and enjoys cultivating deep and trusting relationships with my clients in order to provide space for healing to happen. Outside of providing support to clients, I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, drinking tea, traveling, and spending time with my family. I would choose a rainy day over any other type of weather, but also (begrudgingly) recognize the value of sunshine for both our physical and mental health. When it isn't raining, I really do enjoy being outdoors fishing, going for walks, and enjoying nature. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Christian Studies from Dallas Baptist University. After obtaining my Bachelors degree, I took time to gain different experiences through working as a caseworker for CPS, serving elementary students with special needs, and working at a Christian based call center offering prayer and guidance to those who were struggling and in need of immediate support. I have also served with the YES Waiver Program, working with adolescents struggling with serious mental health concerns, and their families, in an effort to keep them in the home and out of the hospital setting. All of these experiences have uniquely equipped me to serve a variety of clients from any walk of life. In 2023 I graduated with my Masters degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I am passionate about meeting clients where they are and providing a safe and confidential space where no topic is off limits and growth can occur. I work from a Person Centered approach, and seek to collaborate with clients regarding their goals and perspectives. I am trained to work from a model that builds on the foundation of clients' strengths and looks at the deeper needs we all possess in our lives. I am also trained in Grief Counseling. Specialties - Grief in Loss - Life transitions / changes - Anxiety - Depression - Shame Adolescents & Adults
